Headlines

Tom dominates the night — 7-3 with a Perfect 3

Tom put together his best Pool Night of Season 20, going 7-3 to take July on percentage (.700). The centerpiece was a Perfect 3 across games 3 through 5, beating Nick, Tony, and Dean back to back to back.

Dean's near-miss — 7 wins, a snap, a run-out, and a P4 that got away

Dean matched Tom's 7 wins, snapped the 9 in game 13, and ran out a full rack after a dry break by Tom — the asterisk on the board. The snap counts as a highlight, not a step toward a Perfect 3, so three full wins in a row would have turned the run into a P4; the bid ended when Tony took their game 15.

First-ever Team Break & Run — Nick & Tony take doubles 2-1

Late-night 8-ball doubles went to Nick & Tony over Tom & Dean, 2-1, and the decider was the story: they broke and ran the rack clean. It is the first Team Break & Run in Pool Night history, to our knowledge, and it opens a brand-new wing of the Wall of Fame.

Nick wins the 3-Ball — $42 pot

Nick took the July 3-Ball contest, winning with a 3. The pot ran to $42.

Quorum suspended again

With only 4 players able to shoot, the poolies agreed to suspend the quorum rule once more and keep the night's stats official.

Standings: Dean climbs to 4th

Dean's 7-5 night lifts him past Tania into 4th on the season, and Tom's 7-3 moves him up to 6th. Nick holds 2nd, Tony 3rd, and Matt still leads on percentage (.900). Full standings.
